The Commodore Pi 64

I have just made a start on putting my Raspberry Pi into an old Commodore 64 Shell, I have a Keyrah USB interface from using the C64 on my Nintendo Wii, so it seemed to be the natural thing to do, I am still to refine the ports and plugs as the Pi seems very fragile and I want to avoid pulling it about.

I have thanks to My Good friend Andy W, managed to run Bruce lee on it using Vice 64 Emulator, but at present I cant use the joystick and there is no sound, but this is an ever changing situation as this build will be, I will look to make some refinements to my C64 soon.

I have just added a video......

I will keep you posted!

  1. Saw this on Google+ and actually rather like the idea. The biggest hurdle I see is how to have the Pi connect yet Keep the controller ports/switch where they're supposed to go without cutting into the case. Any ideas?

Also something of a pity you can't use the switch as an on-off button but I suppose that can't really be changed around. Would like some clearer pictures if you could please go back and take more for a followup.

  2. Hi Andrew, thank you for your comment,

Because I am using a Keyrah usb interface, so the joystick ports and the switches on the side look the same.

I have now finished this project and have plenty of documentation and pictures on how I did this. But I will post this after I hopefully get the work published! ( i hope)
If you add me on google+ or contact me via email, I can tell you when I post it here. Should be Late June early July.

    Regards Carl.

I have managed to use the ports without cutting the case too!
