FIGnition Lights demo. I am learning bit about FORTH

Over the Christmas build-up I completed my first demo for the DIY 8 bit computer that I have built.
The programming language is not BASIC but FORTH. (not Fourth see comment ;) )

I  am still to master either, but the main difference as I see it is that in the fourth language you write most of the commands yourself with only very low level commands being made to help you create them.

  1. Sorry to be a pedant but the language is spelled Forth. The 'u' was deliberately dropped in order to meet the limitations of the filing system which was limited to 5 character program names.

  2. Thanks for pointing this out, retrophile, I honestly knew the spelling but I forever keep typing it the wrong way, but thanks as the reason you have given me will have articulated in my mind now ensuring less mistakes in the future.

    I hope there are a few more mistakes in my blog, I will know that people are reading it.
